Experience
The musical life behind the voice.
With more than 35 years of professional singing, instrumental performance and music instruction, Shawn Whitebread brings a lifetime of musicianship to voice work. A professionally trained vocalist, multi-instrumentalist and educator, Shawn applies bandstand timing, nuanced phrasing and expressive, musician-level interpretation to every spoken-word performance.
Voice-over background
Shawn’s voice-over focus includes character, advertising, commercial and audiobook work. Each script is approached like a musical score—listening for rhythm, word stress, pacing and emotional contour—so your story, spot or brand message lands with clarity, color and intention.
Projects & credits
For more than 35 years, Shawn has been a working musician and vocalist, performing on stages large and small. As the regular keyboardist and vocalist in a working band, Shawn brings a deep sense of timing, phrasing, rhythm and expressive interpretation to every spoken-word performance, shaping reads with the same musicality used on stage for character, commercial, advertising and audiobook work.
Training & development
Shawn’s voice work is grounded in decades of formal music study, real-world performance and long-term teaching. With more than 35 years of experience as a music instructor and a current role as a high school assistant band director, Shawn guides students in timing, blend, rhythm and expression every day. That same disciplined ear and educator mindset shape each read for character, commercial, advertising and audiobook projects.
